Building on Dag Hammarskjöld’s legacy, our mission is to advance dialogue and policy for sustainable development and peace. The Foundation is non-grant giving and works with four main thematic areas: 1. Multilateralism and international norms and governance; 2. Repositioning of the UN system; 3. Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development; 4. Building and Sustaining Peace.

We are an autonomous non-governmental organisation in Uppsala founded by the Swedish Parliament and governed by an international Board of Trustees.
